Patricia Fernandez Pineros

Grants and Evaluation Manager, Tara Health Foundation, New York, USA
Patty Fernandez Piñeros manages grantmaking processes across all portfolios at the Tara Health Foundation, and is spearheading the strategy, design, and implementation of the foundation's measurement, evaluation, and learning practices. Patty's work in systems design is deeply rooted in a commitment to the values of equity and justice for systemically marginalized communities. For Patty, grantmaking is not an endpoint, it is a doing-a practice where resources are restituted and leveraged for change in the world. Prior to working at Tara Health Foundation, Patty re-designed and scaled grantmaking processes at the Society of Family Planning Research Fund. She has public health direct service experience in Chicago: delivering school-based adolescent STI screening and treatment, as well as prenatal education and wraparound care for Spanish-speaking immigrants. Patty is an MPH candidate at the CUNY School of Public Health, and earned her bachelor's degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from the University of Chicago.
