Nasim Nasr is an independent visual artist based in Australia. She was born in Iran, and using video, photography, performance, 3D objects, and sound, her work engages with themes of intercultural dialogue and the interplay between historical and contemporary cultural perspectives. Her art seeks to create harmony between her past and present homelands, bridging East and West. Her works are held in significant collections, including the Powerhouse Museum, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Artbank, the Australian Parliament House Art Collection, the Sherman Collection, and numerous private collections in Australia and internationally. Nasim continues to produce thought-provoking art that transcends cultural boundaries and fosters dialogue on identity and representation. Since completing her Master of Visual Arts (Research) at the University of South Australia in 2011, her practice has explored the transience of cultural identities.
