Najnin Islam is the Partnerships Development Director for the North East London (NEL) VCSE Collaborative, part of the NEL Integrated Care Board (ICB). Her role is to ensure the VCSE sector is truly integrated within the health system, allowing for a greater shift towards prevention. Najnin previously worked as Deputy Director of Healthcare Integration at the National Academy for Social Prescribing (NASP). Here, she led the strategic oversight of the Healthcare Integration programme with a focus on workforce development. Najnin worked on the Mental Health Transformation programme, and led the development of the community connectors programme whilst at East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT). She managed the Social Prescribing service and developed a national training portfolio for link workers during her time Bromley by Bow Centre. Najnin holds a MSc in Nutrition, from Kings College London and a BSc Hons in Biomedical Science from St George's, University of London.
