Najib Obaid Babakerkhail is the founder and director of French Refugee Council. He possess more than 10 years of progressive experience in different fields such as Mission Attaché for Humanitarian Affairs at the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations Office in Geneva, head of the Human Right and Social Affairs at the Youth Diplomatic Association of the United Nations, Senior Project Manager at Afghan Wireless Communication Company and HR Manager at SONUTECH International. Furthermore, he has excellent knowledge of international humanitarian affairs and migration issues from prominent organizations including OHCHR, UNHCR, IOM, and UN Human Rights Council. Najib has good practical and theoretical experience with refugees and asylum-seekers and has long been involved in several high-level panels and conferences on refugees and their dignified integration in France and Switzerland. He has moderated numerous panel and workshop and has recently been assigned as the member of expert working group on integrating the nationals of the 3rd country by the European Asylum Support Office EASO. Najib is a Ph.D. candidate at Paris School of International Affairs, SciencesPo and holds a Master's degree in International Public Management with concentration in Human Rights and Europe-Asian studies from Paris School of International Affairs, SciencesPo Paris as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business and Administration with two executive diplomas in project management and in information technology.
