Muzzamil Abdi Sheikh works with Saferworld as a research coordinator for Somalia. Previously, he worked with the international NGO Safety Organization as a senior analyst in its research department. He also worked with the Life and Peace Institute as a program advisor for Somalia under its Community Resource Management project, which engaged communities in reconciliation processes to address resource-based conflicts that are common in rural areas of Somalia. His objective is working with communities and other stakeholders in conflict-affected areas to build sustainable peace through dialogue, reconciliation, and policy engagement. This entails both grass root processes, as well as national and international policy engagement. Muzzamil holds a master's degree in international studies from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
