Monika Lütke-Entrup

Head of Unit for Early Childhood Education, Ministry of Education in Lower Saxony, Germany

Monika Lütke-Entrup heads the unit for early childhood education (children aged 0-10 years) in the Ministry of Education in Lower Saxony since 2007. She has previously worked as programme manager for the Robert Bosch Foundation and the Bertelsmann Foundation. As a public servant of the state government of Lower Saxony, a German federal state with 8 million inhabitants, she has been working on issues of policy making and policy implementation - ranging from professional training and curriculum development, to finance and legislation. She represents the 16 federal states of Germany in European Union Working Groups and the OECD Network on Early Childhood Education. She received a D.Phil. and an M.St. from the University of Oxford, UK, and an M.A. from the University of Münster, Germany.
