Mona Shah is the Director of Research in the Research-Evaluation-Learning unit and joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) in 2014. With over 25 years of experience as a researcher and expert in health policy, Mona is involved in the process of identifying transformative solutions and measuring the impact of key health and health care initiatives essential to the Foundation's overarching strategy to move our nation toward a Culture of Health. Her prior experience included health equity advocacy at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network and leading epidemiologic research at the United States Military Cancer Institute, the New York City Department of Health, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Public Health. Her published research covers cancer disparities, incidence and mortality, tobacco use, childhood obesity, asthma, and utilization and access to clinical prevention services.
