Focused on the atmospheres of spaces and experiences, Mizan Rambhoros works at the intersection of subjective wellbeing and ‘loveable’ placemaking to investigate the potential of public places of arts & culture for promoting good mental health and human flourishing in cities. Her current position as a Researcher in Neuroaesthetics is preceded by roles in academia and industry across the global north and south, including Visiting Researcher in GeoHumanities (2015-2019) in Spain; Senior Lecturer in Architecture (2011-2022) and Project Architect (2005-2010) in South Africa; and Independent Researcher in Urban Regeneration (2002) in Australia. Mizan is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action Postdoctoral Fellow (MSCA-PF) at the ARTIS Lab, University of Vienna, Austria.
