Michelle Rumbaut is the daughter of Cuban immigrants living in central Texas and filling various roles. With both undergraduate (South West Texas State University) and graduate (Trinity University) degrees in health care administration, she has worked since 1986 at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin, currently in the role of project administrator. Since 2016 she has also been volunteering regularly with the Interfaith Welcome Coalition in San Antonio, welcoming newly arrived refugees at the Greyhound bus station. Michelle has served the boards of various non-profit organizations with environmental and cultural missions.
