Michael Koplovsky

Visiting Professor, College of Europe, Belgium

Michael Koplovsky is currently a visiting professor at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, where he leads a graduate seminar on US-EU trade. He is also a senior advisor at Kreab Worldwide. Michael is a former senior US diplomat, trade negotiator, university professor, and private sector Brussels lobbyist. As a diplomat, he successfully concluded accords on five continents. Prior to joining the US Government, Michael worked in the World Bank’s Strategic Planning Division. On Amazon’s EU Public Policy team in Brussels, he rallied stakeholders to successfully advocate workplace technology, labor and employment, corporate social responsibility, trade, and transatlantic issues. Michael taught courses on negotiation and leadership at George Washington University in Washington, DC, US. He holds degrees from Johns Hopkins University, Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and the U.S. Naval War College. Michael also studied at Frankfurt’s Goethe University and Universite Libre de Bruxelles.
