Maya Mizuno is an impact fellow, Leadership Exchange Asia Project (LEAP). She works closely with the LEAP team, supporting its two component programs - the Asia Peace Innovators Forum and the Japan-India Transformative Technology Network. Prior to joining Salzburg Global, Maya was based in Costa Rica and Japan where she developed her professional experience in higher education management and international academic partnerships. She has managed various academic programs around the topic of peacebuilding, international relations, sustainability, and social development in collaboration with universities in Asia, UN agencies, governmental organizations, research institutes, and philanthropic foundations. She holds a B.A. in economics from Hosei University in Japan, an M.A. in political science, majoring in global politics, from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines, and an M.A. in peace education from the University for Peace in Costa Rica. She speaks Japanese, English, Spanish, and Thai.
