May is a Senior Education Consultant at the World Bank, where she is responsible for providing technical assistance to client countries on early childhood education, literacy, and education technology, with a particular focus on education transformation and finance. From 2018-2020 she co-led the World Bank's Skills Global Solutions Group. Prior to joining the Bank in 2009, she worked in Educational Leadership at UNESCO's Regional Bureau for Education in Latin America and the Caribbean and taught English as a Second Language with the Harvard Center for International Development to middle school students in Chile. May holds a Master of International Affairs in Economic and Political Development from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American History from Brown University.
