Matias Knust is founder and director of Children's International Foundation for Research, Education & Peace (CIFREP). He is interested in promoting nature pedagogy within public educational systems with the goal of promoting education and wellbeing among students and face the climate emergency. He is a sociologist from Jesuit University Alberto Hurtado (Chile) with a master's degree in childhood studies from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has a vast experience in education within early childhood and school settings in Chile. He has been invited as a visiting professor to various universities and to present the importance of nature in the education system at the Education Commission of the Congress of Chile.
