Mathijs ter Bork is senior program manager for a non-profit organization in the Netherlands, named IVN Natuureducatie. The mission of IVN Natuureducatie is to bring nature back into the hearts of people. Mathijs is responsible for the development of education for primary schools. Besides developing new material, he trains teachers from 130 schools in his region to carry out nature and sustainable projects and helps them to create deeper impact nature-lessons. Mathijs was the Teacher of the Year Primary Education for the Netherlands in 2010. His biggest aim has always been teaching children about the world they live in. Mathijs holds a master of education.
