Mary Khine is the project director of Jesuit Refugee Service-Myanmar (JRS-Kayah) team. She joined JRS in November 2019. One of the main programs of JRS-Kayah peace and reconciliation. Mary works closely with local partners and church associations such as Loikaw Diocesan Youth Commission and the Justice and Peace Commission to promote peace, social cohesion, and reconciliation among the youth, refugee and internally-displaced returnees, and vulnerable host communities where people are affected by the long term civil war and armed-conflict. She is interested in exploring the innovative ideas, relevant approaches and strategies and practical practices to help promote peace and reconciliation within communities. Mary received her Master of Science in social work from the Asian Social Institute, Philippines.
