Marion Boers is the President of the International Federation of Translators (FIT) as well as the treasurer of the South African Translators’ Institute. In that capacity she has been involved in producing newsletters, journals, manuals, conference proceedings and other publications, and has run a virtual office for the Institute since 2000 and overseen their system of accreditation since 2001. Ms. Boers holds a B.A. in languages from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and a Postgraduate Diploma in Translation from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
