Mariano Pozzi is a filmmaker and cultural manager with Instituto Multimedia DerHumALC and is based in Buenos Aires. An image and sound designer from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), where he also teaches, Mariano directs and develops socially impactful projects, including the Human Rights Film Festival of Buenos Aires (FICDH), the Environmental Film Festival of Buenos Aires (FINCA), and independent audiovisual productions addressing topics such as migration, homelessness, youth rights, and justice. Mariano uses film and storytelling to amplify social issues and advocate for human rights. He is an alumnus of the Summer School for Cinema, Human Rights, and Advocacy at the Global Campus of Human Rights (Italy) and a fellow of the Salzburg Global Forum for Young Cultural Innovators (Austria/USA). Mariano is also an alumnus of the Global Shapers Community, a program of the World Economic Forum. His accolades include being an advisor and special jury member for the Better Together Challenge by World Culture Open (South Korea) and receiving the Moving Narratives Mentorship award from the Prince Claus Fund and British Council (Netherlands/UK). Mariano's projects have been featured in prestigious platforms and festivals such as BAFICI, IDFA, Cinemajove, Málaga Film Fest, Cannes Docs, and Ventana Sur.
