Mariana Brandeburgo

Senior Advisor Partnerships, Diversity and Inclusi
Mariana Brandeburgo leads partnerships and creative communications projects at SheDecides, advancing global sexual and reproductive health and rights. She designed and leads the Abortion Archives, a project that preserves and celebrates the history of sexual and reproductive rights movements across Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and the Americas. Through photography, film, documents, sound, and storytelling, she explores the diverse creative expressions and narrative strategies of these movements. She also examines how reproductive rights struggles intersect with broader civic rights movements, such as the fight for women's vote, highlighting their shared histories and strategies for change. Motivated by her personal experience, Mariana founded Tribu, a network for Latin American pregnant women in London. She also serves as Co-Chair on the Board of Trustees at the Latin American Women's Rights Service (LAWRS). Originally from Bahía Blanca, Argentina, Mariana has lived in Buenos Aires, Washington, D.C., and London. She is a Chevening Scholar and an Australian Leadership Awards Fellow, holding a bachelor's degree in communications, a master's degree in public policy, and an M.Sc. in social policy and development from the London School of Economics (LSE).
