Play to Protect Director
Maria Camacho and her family own and live in a free-roaming wild animal conservation park. She designed and directs the Play to Protect program, an innovative project that incorporates playful activities to support nature conservation around the world. She strongly believes that exposure to nature is crucial for children's healthy development and has worked in many projects to encourage children to play and learn outdoors. She has designed and implemented a Nature Academy in Africam Safari where children attend on a weekly basis to discover the wonders and miracles found in nature's little details and processes. She has created several educational programs to help children discover the magic of books, women encounter their personal power, and people in general reconcile themselves in their relationship with nature. She obtained a bachelor of arts in information design from Universidad de las Americas Puebla (UDLAP) and a bachelor of arts in preschool education from the Mexican Ministry of Public Education (SEP).
