Dr. María Angélica Mejía Cáceres is a Colombian-born educator and researcher specialising in science and health education, with a strong focus on environmental education and socio-environmental justice. She holds a Ph.D. in Science and Health Education from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil. Currently, Dr. Mejía Cáceres serves as the Pedagogical Projects Manager at the Learning Planet Institute. Her is also actively involved in research, contributing to various publications on topics like environmental education, critical pedagogy, and teacher training. Her work often integrates Freirian perspectives and aims to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and environmental education.
