Mareike Günther is a Technical Officer at the Evidence to Policy and Impact Unit of the Science Division at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. In her role, she works on promoting the use of evidence in health policy and programs. Previously, she was a consultant with the Country Support Unit at the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office in Manila, Philippines, where she primarily supported the development of strategic vision papers across the Western Pacific Region that guide WHO's work in countries. Before that, she was part of the COVID-19 response team at the WHO Country Office in the Philippines, coordinating response efforts among partners, and worked as a policy professional in a global business organization.
