Liz is the Director, Public Policy Analysis (PPA) at the ONS, responsible for leading the delivery of its social and subnational statistics; maximising the impact of its public policy analysis and supporting the strategy and delivery of the cross-Government Analysis Function. She is co-chair of the Departmental Directors of Analysis Network. Prior to this Liz was Chief Economist at the Cabinet Office for five years and head of its multidisciplinary analytical hub, Analysis & Insight (A&I), supporting the Cabinet Secretary, Chief Executive of the Civil Service and Cabinet Office ministers. Liz also, jointly with the Government Office for Science, led the Government's Horizon Scanning Programme, including providing the secretariat for the Cabinet Secretary's Advisory Group. She was the UK representative on the OECD Public Governance Committee and a member of its bureau. Previously she held strategy, analysis and policy roles at a number of UK government departments. Liz is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
