Litha Sokutu is the DEI Strategic Specialist for Salzburg Global. He is the co-founder and director at the Social Literacy Conversation (SLC), a Cape Town-based Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) consultancy founded in 2017. Operating in universities and non-profits in South Africa and the United States, SLC serves his passions for storytelling, social cohesion, creating equitable organizations and elevating historically muted voices. Since 2020, Litha has worked with Salzburg Global on several projects, including as a facilitator at the 2020 Cultural Innovators Forum and as one of the Leads on the 2021 Kellogg Foundation Proposal. As DEI Strategic Specialist, Litha will take the lead in developing and communicating SGS DEI strategies internally and externally. Additionally, Litha works with senior leadership and board members in the Salzburg Global DEI Working Group. Litha is an alumnus of the University of Cape Town, where his Master's thesis focused on the modern-day implications of Apartheid's rural-to-urban labor migration system.
