Lila Caimari is a researcher at CONICET, the government agency that fosters the development of science and technology in Argentina. She is currently a host and producer of the podcast HistoriAr. She has published extensively on the history of urban crime, the police and the prison experience in Argentina, as well as the social and cultural history of modern Argentina. Her latest book, co-edited with Diego Galeano, is a comprehensive history of the Argentine police. Previously, she wrote La vida en el archive, a collection of writings about the practice of historical research. She holds a DEA in History from the Institut des Hautes Etudes de l?Amerique Latine, University of Paris, a DEA in Political Sociology from the Institut d?Etudes Politiques de Paris, and a PhD from the Institut d?Etudes Politiques de Paris, University of Paris.
