Liminal publishes literary criticism, interviews, art and writing, and runs writing fellowships, editorial mentorships and national literary prizes for people of colour and First Nations writers. Leah received a master's degree in English literature from University College London, UK, and is currently completing her PhD in Asian American literature at the University of Melbourne, Australia. In her doctoral work, she researches contemporary Asian American autofiction; lately, she has been writing about racialised affect, racialised dissonance, and the diasporic subject's right to opacity.
