Layla Hussain currently serves as an advocacy officer at RAMFEL, where she amplifies the experiences of migrants and refugees from the global south. She is a passionate advocate for equity, and passionately believes in collective moral responsibility. She values lived experience and seamlessly integrates it into her work, ensuring that the voices of those directly impacted by policies are central to her advocacy efforts. To maintain this connection, Layla dedicates time working at Dens, supporting people who are facing homelessness, poverty, and social exclusion, hearing firsthand from individuals who are adversely affected by current social policies. Drawing from her specialized experience in the mental health sector, Layla leverages her unique blend of skills in policy influencing, campaign development, and advocacy, to move into the immigration policy sector.
