Laurie Catteeuw

Dr Laurie Catteeuw, PhD in Philosophy, is Vice President Education and Parental Support for Babilou Family Group, a player in early childhood education present in 10 different countries. She is the President of the Scientific Committee of Babilou Family, and develop with its members several research programs in ECE to build a strong bridge between science and pedagogical practices. She is a member of the education group of the Pikler Lóczy-France association and an author. She has a strong background in the field, having worked as an early childhood educator and director of 2 crèches in Paris for several years. A graduate of the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, she has also worked as a researcher at the CNRS and as an associate lecturer at Sciences Po Paris. She is the main author of a book on sustainable education published by Babilou Family in 2024, which outlines six pillars upon which professionals can base their teaching practices, drawing inspiration from new pedagogical approaches, recent scientific findings, and neuroscience.
