Kwame is the Head of FinTech and Innovation at the Bank of Ghana, where he oversees regulation of the country's fintech ecosystem and leads its central bank digital currency (CBDC) exploration. His expertise spans technology, digital financial services, policy development, and regulation. With a global footprint, he has consulted for governments, international development organizations, and private sector institutions. Prior to joining the Bank, he held roles at CGAP (World Bank Group), Millicom, and Hewlett Packard, among others, across the banking, housing finance, and health insurance sectors. He holds a BSc in Business Administration, an MSc in Business, and executive education in policy design, along with certifications in blockchain, cloud computing, and financial inclusion. Kwame is a passionate advocate for innovation, digital economies, and financial inclusion. He is a Salzburg Global Fellow.
