Khouloud is a graduate of California State University in Conflict Resolution and Civic Engagement from Tunisia. She is a passionate young female on Peace and Security, representing several networks in her region to advocate for the role of women in peace and security. She is working on the nexus between Migration, Climate Change Peace, and Security and their underlying impacts on Women and Gender Development. Khouloud is an alumna of the UN Women Office of the Arab States Young Women Peacebuilders Program, a program dedicated to young mediators and peace advocates, on Conflict theories, Conflict Analysis, as well as subsequent WPS and YPS resolutions. In the same context, she has been chosen among the top 20 candidates for the UNDPPA Advanced Course for Women in Negotiation and Implementation of Ceasefires in New York. Khouloud has experience in multi-stakeholder engagements, mainly within her government where she joined the Ministry of Women in Tunisia working on advancing the National Action Plan on WPS- UNSCR 1325 and working jointly with the UNFPA Regional Office on the Development of the National Action Plan on Youth Peace and Security for Tunisia. Moreover, she has been chosen as one of the members of the High-Level Panel of Experts on Multilateralism to work jointly with the Gov of Namibia in drafting the Report on the Reform of the Multilateral System which will be presented at the Summit of the Future. In recognition of her active engagement and brilliant positive collaborations, she was elected as the African Union Youth Ambassador for Peace where she represented the North African block to mainstream youth participation in the YPS Agenda Khouloud has an extensive background in Climate Change and is part of the Tunisian Young Climate Negotiators Group initiative of the Tunisian government led by the Ministry of Environment in coordination with UNFCCC on building capacity for young climate activists in high-level climate meetings and official conferences as well as enhancing their negotiation skills within the different thematics. with a focus on gender and mitigation. She's now one of the graduates of the UN Office of Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) for a world without nuclear weapons advanced training aiming to expand her peace and security portfolio to learn more about nuclear weapons and disarmament affairs where she aims to advance the arms control negotiations in the vision to sustain peace and security and contribute positively to the AU's Silencing the Guns initiative. Khouloud is a positive collaborator known for her great leadership capacities, a dynamic young expert, and an excellent team player. She is a native Arabic speaker, with full proficiency in English and French.
