Kenneth Leung currently a global external and Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) regulatory affairs strategist managing TMT regulatory matters across the Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas for a communications service provider. Experienced in navigating public policy, government relations and external affairs at the intersection of technology, media and digital markets, Kenneth advises and advances digital governance and empowerment campaigns through strategic partnerships with industry, governments, academia, the technical community, and international organizations. Beyond digital policies and international affairs, Kenneth’s professional pursuits also span across media management, production, and journalism. Prior to his current role, Kenneth convened and facilitated multiple capacity development programs for a S.M.A.R.T. and human-centric digital ecosystem. Previously, Kenneth was international external and regulatory specialist at AT and T, and WarnerMedia. Alongside his pan-APAC remit encompassing TMT policies, compliance, and multistakeholder engagement, he mobilized ITU Partner2Connect pledges in the region for universal and meaningful connectivity. With bylines in CNN, YP, South China Morning Post and The Diplomat Magazine, he was part of the team that won two international journalism awards and 1 News Emmy nomination. Bringing forward his thought leadership that drove public fora hosted by the UN, USAID, and Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), he continues to serve as NetMission Asia board member, Asia Pacific Policy Observatory founding adviser and ASEF Asia-Europe for Artificial Intelligence (AE4AI) member. Kenneth is an alumnus of the US Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on digital economy.
