Karli Wallace is an undergraduate student at Emerson College in Boston, MA - she is a rising senior studying film production in the Visual Media Arts (VMA) Department, with concentrations in Producing and Accessibility Coordination. She double minors in Peace & Social Justice and Health & Social Change. She is from Los Angeles, CA. Wallace is heavily involved with student-led advocacy focused on Emerson's commitments to accessibility and disability justice. She's the Vice President of Advocacy of the College's Student Disability Union, and sits on multiple administrative-level advisory committees as one of few student representatives. She's also responsible for the creation and organizing of the VMA Accessibility Reform Initiative (colloquially known as VARI) - an advocacy initiative specific to Emerson's VMA department on disability justice in media. By strengthening accessibility at a top collegiate media and film-based program in America, VARI aims to keep Emerson intuitive of the often ableist barriers within the industry.
