Karin Wilkins (PhD, University of Pennsylvania) is Dean of the School of Communication at the University of Miami. Previously, she was Associate Dean with the Moody College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin. She has won awards for her research, teaching, and service, creating academic programs in global studies, Middle East studies, and leadership. Wilkins is a recognized fellow of the International Communication Association (ICA) and former Editor-in-Chief of Communication Theory.
