Karin Graf is director of the literature and media agency Graf & Graf, as well as director of the concept agency Graf & Frey. She has been a freelance translator for many years and has translated works of Rudyard Kipling, Malcolm Lowry, V.S. Naipual, Salman Rushdie and Susan Sontag, for which she has won numerous awards. She has lectured and published widely on the subject of translation theory and has worked in the fields of TV, radio, theather. newspaper and book publishing. Ms. Graf studied German, English and philosophy at the University of Cologne.
