Karen Fowler-Watt
Professor of Journalism and Global Narratives, Head of Department of Journalism, City St. Georges University of London, United Kingdom
Karen Fowler-Watt is Professor of Journalism and Global Narratives and Head of the Department of Journalism at City St George's University of London. A Fellow of the Salzburg Academy on Media and Global Change, she is a former journalist for BBC News and Current Affairs, where she worked in the Middle East, Europe and United States. Karen is a trustee of the European Centre for Journalism and Trauma (formerly Dart Centre, Europe). Her research and publications focus on reporting marginalised voices, immersive storytelling and re-imagining journalism education.
