Doctoral Researcher, University of Glasgow, United Kingdom

Juliet Bayor is a doctoral researcher in political economy at the University of Glasgow, investigating how philanthropic foundation funding reshapes the priorities and accountability of international development organizations. Her research examines power dynamics in global governance, looking into questions that increasingly extend to digital and technology policy as foundations fund digital health systems, AI initiatives, and data infrastructure in developing contexts. Juliet has lived and worked across Ghana, the UK, and Germany. She previously worked with UN DESA Statistics Division strengthening national statistical capacity and linking statistics production to policy priorities across six countries in Africa, South America and South Asia. She holds an M.Sc. in development management from the London School of Economics, UK, as a Commonwealth Scholar, and a first-class honors degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.
