Juliane Maria (Jane) Hilgert is currently completing the LL.B. in European Law at Maastricht University, Maastricht, Netherlands. Alongside academics, Jane was an active member of the United Nations Student Association Maastricht in several capacities, namely as under-secretary-general of marketing & communications for Euro MUN as well as editor-in-chief of the Maastricht Diplomat. In 2023, Jane was selected as one of the M100 Young European Journalists (YEJ) and got to take part in the workshop 'Reporting on Climate Change and its Significance for Democracy' and present the results alongside her fellow YEJs at the M100 Sanssouci Colloquium. Most recently, she conducted a foreign policy and democracy internship at the Heinrich Böll Foundation's Washington, D.C. office.
