Juan "Juen" Wei is the senior program development manager of the Environment Program at the Asia Foundation. In this position, she leads program development, research and analysis, proposals and grant-writing, environment scoping reports, and provides support to project and program evaluations that address various issues including conflict and climate change, environmental governance, climate change mitigation and adaptation, cross- border environmental issues, water resource management, and environment and natural disaster preparedness. Prior to the Asia Foundation, Juen served as senior program manager-sustainability for the Asia Society in San Francisco, USA. Among her other experiences, Juen has served as senior program officer for the International Union for Conservation of Nature, national advisor for the Danish International Development Agency's Wind Energy Development Program in Beijing, China and research associate for the Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy and Finance at Stanford University, USA. Juen has a bachelor's degree in intercultural communication from Peking University, China and a master's degree in international policy studies on energy, environment, and natural resources from Stanford University, USA.
