John Cannon is a partner in the Compensation, Governance and ERISA Group at Shearman & Sterling LLP. He is a member of the American College of Governance Counsel and the American Law Institute, and adviser to the ALI's Restatement of Corporate Governance project. He is a Salzburg Global Fellow and member of its Corporate Governance Advisory Committee.
