Joëlle Ambika Aganze is currently in her final year of undergraduate studies in the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Natural Sciences, at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). She holds executive roles in various tech societies and programs at UWC as secretary for Women in Computer Science (WiCS), events coordinator for Geekulcha Student Society UWC and events coordinator for the Techforward Program. Joëlle has participated in hackathons under GirlCode SA,tackling challenges such as SDG 2: Zero Hunger. Joëlle became a Quantify Your Future (QYF) alumnus and has been exposed to opportunities such as school outreaches. Under the societies at UWC, Joëlle visited primary and high schools teaching learners basics of coding using Rangers. She is also part of the Golden Key International Society for academic excellence. Outside of campus, Joëlle continues her mission of supporting the youth as an events coordinator and social media coordinator for AmisYouth, under Amis BK Cape Town. Joëlle and her team organise events, which are youth centered and with her experience, she is able to facilitate all the needs of the youth within the Amis BK group.
