Jocelyn is the inaugural Executive Director of the Black & Brown Collective for Community Solutions to Gun Violence. She champions rigorous, community-engaged, and equitable research that can inform policies and practices that advance community safety and wellbeing. She has extensive experience as an executive leader, strategist, and researcher. Additionally, as Vice President for Strategic Program Development at the Urban Institute, she provides strategic direction and garners support for Urban's research and policy initiatives. She has also held roles at Arnold Ventures, Pew Charitable Trusts, and the National Institute of Justice. She received her PhD in Justice and Public Policy from American University.
