Jeroen Onck is a senior consultant for Utrecht Natuurlijk in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He has been part of the organization since it started in 2014. He is interested in nature, biodiversity and sustainability, in formal and non-formal education to achieve sustainable goals and in creating learning environments that support changes towards sustainability. He volunteers as a board member for the Dutch cooperation 'Leren voor Morgen' (Learning for Tomorrow), as a board member for the foundation 'Milieucentrum Rotterdam' (Environmental Center Rotterdam) and 'Zwermrepubliek', a foundation with aims to support interventions that crossover between art, culture, nature and society as a catalyst for discussion, awareness and development of a future proof relation between mankind and its natural surroundings. As a senior consultant, he is involved in greening schoolyards and creating learning situations for learning about sustainability from secondary schools to university in the city of Utrecht. He has vast experience in environmental education and school gardening for elementary schools.
