Janine Jackson

Janine A. Jackson is a doctoral student in the psychometrics at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. Her research interests center around the development and validation of instruments used to measure affective characteristics of teachers as well as non-cognitive measures of student success. In addition, she studies issues related to measurement invariance across large-scale national and international educational assessments. Janine is a certified elementary and secondary teacher with over 15 years of experience including six years in the United Arab Emirates as a Mentor Teacher and Data Coordinator for select schools in the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge. She is a White House HBCU Scholar, an active member of the Psychometric Society, the former Chair of the Jamaica Diaspora Education Task Force Education Leadership Committee, and the current Programming and Events Director for the International HBCU Exchange. Janine received a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor's degree in English from Florida Atlantic University.
