Hongzhu Jin is a PhD student from Shenzhen, China. Her interests are journalism, data visualization, and intercultural communication. Earning her master's degree at the University of Miami, she majored in communication studies and earned her bachelor's degree in China, majoring in bilingual broadcasting (French-Chinese). After getting her master's degree at Miami in 2018, she began working with the Shenzhen News Group for 5 years. Her positions have changed from reporter, content supervisor, and office director to general manager assistant. Some of her hobbies or favorite things to do outside of school are ballet, reading, traveling, and singing.
