Dr. Henry G. Mwebesa is the Director General Health Services / Chief Medical Officer, of the Ministry of Health, Government of Uganda. In his role, he is the Chief Advisor to Government on Health Policies and all health sector interventions in the country. He coordinates and supervises all health interventions aimed at Health Promotion, Disease Prevention, and Curative and Rehabilitative Services. He has been at the helm of coordinating responses to a number of epidemics due Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers and more recently was the Team Leader for the COVID-19 Pandemic National Response Team. He carries over 30 years experience in Health Management and Disease Prevention at both district and national level.
