Harithra Chandrasehar is a Development Practitioner, licensed Clinical Psychologist, and Lecturer based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. With over seven years of expertise in mental health and psychosocial support, she has worked closely with individuals and communities affected by Sri Lanka's civil conflict and political violence. Harithra recently concluded a two-year technical consultancy with the International Organization for Migration (IOM-UN), where she provided critical support to the Office for Reparations, a key institution in Sri Lanka's Transitional Justice process. Additionally, she served as the Research and Coordinating Consultant for the National Democratic Institute, contributing to the work of the Parliamentary Caucus for Persons with Disabilities. Her efforts extend to providing emergency mental health services to the National Transgender Network of Sri Lanka. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) from Missouri University of Science and Technology and an MPhil in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colombo. Harithra's work is driven by a deep commitment to promoting mental health and advancing human rights in Sri Lanka.
