Grzegorz Peszko is a lead economist at the World Bank. For over three decades he has been assisting many, especially fossil fuel-dependent countries, and international organizations in designing and implementing macro-fiscal and trade policies to manage risks and opportunities of their transitions to green, diversified, resilient and circular economy. He also worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Krakow University of Economics, and the Polish Ministry of Environment. He was a board member of the Krakow Environmental Investment Fund and the Polish Section of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists. He consulted for private and public clients and was the Lead Author of the IPCC 3rd AR, and a contributing author of the IPCC 6th AR. He has a PhD in economics from the Krakow University of Economics, M.Sc. in natural resource economics from the University College London, and M.Sc. in political sciences from the Krakow Jagiellonian University.
