Greg Medcraft

Greg Medcraft is chair of Australian Finance Group Ltd, a leading listed financial services group in Australia focused on mortgage broking and finance. Greg also serves as chair of AEMO Services Ltd, which provides advisory services and acts as an agent for governments to support private investment in renewable energy infrastructure across Australia. Greg is a member of the advisory board of Global Digital Finance, a UK-based global industry group focused on market standards and education, and is an independent non-executive director of the Digital Finance Cooperative Research Centre, an Australian-based research organization jointly funded by government, industry, and universities focused on digital finance. Greg is also a member of the board of Thinktank Pty Ltd, an Australian-based financial services group focused on financing the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector. Greg acts as senior board adviser to Infraclear Inc., a Washington-based fintech. Greg formerly served as director of Salzburg Global Seminar, director of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), chair and commissioner of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), chair of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), member of the Financial Stability Board (FSB), and managing director at Société Générale. Greg also served as mayor in Melbourne and Sydney. Greg holds a Doctor of Business (Honoris Causa), a Bachelor of Commerce, and is a Chartered Accountant. He is a Fellow of Salzburg Global and serves on the Finance Forum Advisory Committee.
