Gonzalo Canseco Gomez is a founding partner of Simbiosis Económica, a Mexico City-based consultancy specializing in advising on economic, financial, and public policy strategies with a focus on sustainability. In his current role, he is responsible for guiding clients on sustainable development initiatives and fostering strategic planning to address economic and environmental challenges. Prior to his current position, Canseco served as Special Advisor to the UNFCCC Framework Convention on Climate Change, where he contributed to global climate policy. Over his twenty-year career, he has held senior roles across multiple Ministries of the Mexican Government. These include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he served as Chief of Staff, Head of Policy Planning, and in diplomatic postings in London and Paris. He was also Chief of Staff and Technical Secretary of the Social Policy Cabinet at the Ministry of Social Development, and Head of International Affairs at the Ministry of Finance. At the Mexican Presidency, he chaired the Evaluation Committee on the Sustainable Development Goals, playing a pivotal role in aligning national policies with global development objectives. Gonzalo holds degrees in Literae Humaniores and Economics, Politics, and Philosophy from the University of Oxford, where he also pursued a DPhil in Politics.
