Gaury Daga is a first-year undergraduate design student at BITS Design School, Mumbai, India, pursuing a degree in Design Research. She is the head of Encased, a vertical under the Entrepreneurship Club at BITS. She has also worked as part of design competitions such as the Stanford Design Challenge, where she focused on the welfare and condition of gig workers. She has worked passionately on projects involving research on slum redevelopment plans and the problems associated with them, focused on Mumbai, India, and on the discrepancies between national media and local narratives, and how they shape one another. Gaury is interested in untold and misrepresented narratives that subliminally influence how we perceive the world. Through design, she hopes to create interventions that are not merely functional but grounded in context and conversation.
