Gaurav Thapa is the co-founder & managing director of FINLIT Nepal, an organization advocating financial literacy and inclusion. He is a financial literacy and inclusion specialist advancing financial education in the Asia Pacific. He is involved in research on financial education, inclusion, and peacebuilding to frame grassroots programs for government, non-government, and private sectors. He has worked with scholars to identify the approaches to understanding the need for personal finance management in peacebuilding. As a fellow, Gaurav has researched conflict and its economic consequences in South Asia at The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Secretariat. He is a Caux Scholar 2017, working in the field of social entrepreneurship, focusing on the intersection of peacebuilding, livelihood development, and financial education. Gaurav received a financial innovation award from the London Institute of Banking and Finance, & an economic citizenship award from the G20 Presidency.
